MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

DECEMBER 11, 2008

The December meeting was called to order at 8:54 am. by President Paul Helmstetter.  Present at meeting were Barbara Oakes, Paul Helmstetter and Pat Rose.  Barbara opened the meeting with prayer.

The secretary’s minutes were read and approved.  Barbara made a motion to accept, seconded by Pat.

The treasurer’s report was read and approved.  Barbara made a motion to accept, seconded by Paul.

OLD BUSINESS

Barbara reported that the meeting with CFO and Bill Reynolds went smoothly.  The Legal Fees that were reported against Osprey Point were not charged to us.  They just wanted to show us what it cost them for litigation against Ron Birckhead. See attached copy of all further discussions.

Barbara addressed the situation with intruders in our community.  A red van with about six people in it were soliciting park.  After many confrontations they were ousted from the park.  Further detail is attached.

The security issue was discussed and was decided that everyone should either escort the people they have coming into the park or if known well could give them the gate code. It is not the responsibility of the gatehouse guard.  He will not give out the gate code.

Paul reported that he had met with Dewanna.  He has reserved the main clubhouse for our annual meeting February19,2009 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.  He discussed the issued about recycling bins and Dewanna said that they had been thrown out.  Further information will follow.  Paul asked about a map of PRD so that we know where our boundary lines are.  Dewanna will follow up on this issue.  Paul asked about the issue with Ron Birckhead’s lawsuit.  She informed Paul that his suit had been dismissed and they were going to continue with their suit against him.

Paul asked Dewanna about planting trees to give us more security from the development out in front and she will get back to us on that.

The trees Paul researched are called Nellie Stevens Holly.  They grow very rapidly and are very drought tolerant. The issue of cost will be presented to the community at the annual meeting.

Barbara is still investigation who is responsible for the weeds on the other side of our fence line.

Pat reported that the budget will be ready for the next meeting of the H.O.A.

Pat will compose a letter to be sent out with yearly package reguarding the trees.

NEW BUSINESS

There has been a report of people parking overnight on the road in front of Osprey Point.  We suggested that the sheriff be called when necessary.

There have been problems with the lawn service weed wacking on individuals property.  We suggested that this issue should be taken care of by the homeowner and the lawn service.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Jerry Fall reported that so far Ron Birckhead is the only person that has volunteered to run for the two open spots on the board.

Joe Golden reported that he has started a web site for Osprey Point that can be accessed at http://www.poainfo.com-a.gooflepages.com/ospreypointatdeercreek

The directory on the web sit will be constructed at a later date and be password protected.
